We are in the midst of a global transformation.
We have a pandemic that has spread to many countries. And we are seeing protests and discussions around racism and prejudice that are shattering the veils that many people have lived with.
Where do you stand during this historical time? What vision do you have for the future?
One of the things that I have desired for as long as I can remember is the vision of true equality for all. As a child of the 70s, I saw how the landscape was different for people of color, for females, for different religious groups, and more.
As Fannie Lou Hamer said: “Nobody’s free until everybody’s free.”
It’s hard to see the cages we live in sometimes. The gender expectations. The stereotypes about different groups of people. The unconscious bias that filters our every move.
I’ve spent years trying to dismantle the conditioning inside my mind and still I am surprised by what I find sometimes.
Transformation is not a one-time event. It’s a lifetime of diving deep into a tangled mind, healing emotions and pain, and choosing another way to operate in the world.
What’s one step you can take today that brings you closer to your vision?
May we continue to expand our consciousness and create a better world.
